God in Games explores religion, morals and values underpinning video games in Australia.

Over the past 40 years, video games have evolved from simple black and white formats to complex, colourful multi-player games. Their narratives have developed too, from basic good versus evil story lines, to those requiring players to make sophisticated choices. 

But what are the values underpinning these games? Are their designers drawing on traditional religious values, or are they establishing a whole new set of moral codes for the next generation of gamers? 

God in Games explores the world of video games through the eyes of a designer, a game critic and a devoted ‘grandma gamer’.
